The museum is housed in a listed barracks building within the Pavlos Melas Metropolitan Park in the Stavroupoli district of Thessaloniki.

TETRAGON contributed significantly in the realisation of this complex project, taking over a wide spectrum of works as special exhibition and wood constructions, developing the visual identity, graphic compositions for exhibition surfaces, curating archaeological material and texts, printing, digital interactive applications and audiovisual productions.
