The program “Ornaments in the Sand” aimed at the standardisation and aesthetic upgrade of the removable and transportable lightweight structures of the Greek coastline.
In 2003 the Hellenic Tourist Properties, in collaboration with Local Government Organizations, set out to provide a set of improved and high-quality services for bathers, in order to improve the country’s tourism identity.
TETRAGON designed a flexible system of assembled, lightweight wood and metal constructions with indoor and outdoor spaces that served as canteens, changing rooms, ancillary areas, pergolas and visitor walkways, including infrastructure for Disabled People.
The program was pilot tested in collaboration with the Municipality of Alimos.
