The Siatista Botanical Collection highlights the unique flora of Mount Vourinos and particularly of the Valley of Messio Nero, while presenting the history of the collection, the particular geology of the mountain, as well as endemic and extremely rare plants of the area.
The historical botanical collection of Siatista, which was created and preserved since 1988 by the Alpine Club of Siatista “Bourinos”, has been enhanced with new samples of dried plants and has been transfered in a room of the Trampatzeion Gymnasium of Siatista. The new exhibition presents the dried plants from the different types of habitats of Vourinos, while interpreting their relationship to the particular geology of the site. TETRAGON realised the museological – museographic study, graphic design, construction and installation of the exhibition.
