The new premises, the exhibition display and the collections narration are the elements that make the Archaeological Museum of Chania a true gem for the city and a major project for the promotion of culture and tourism in the wider area.
In the historic district of Chalepa, covering around 6,000 sq.m, the new Archaeological Museum of Chania hosts over 3,500 exhibits, 1,000 of which are showcased for the first time. The exhibition of the new Archaeological Museum of Chania is organized over five thematic sections and highlights the long course of time that boasts the prehistoric settlements and historic cities of Western Crete.
TETRAGON SA took part in the implementation of the museographic constructions in collaboration with Ε. LIGNOS company, while it also realized the graphic design of the exhibition surfaces. In addition, it undertook the design and implementation of signage in the exterior and interior spaces of the Archaeological Museum of Chania.
